ಕೋರೊನಾ ವೈರಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಲಾಕ್ ಡೌನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಹಲವಾರು ಜನರು ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಮಧ್ಯಮವರ್ಗದ ಜನರಿಗೆ, ದಿನಗೂಲಿ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಜನರು ಒಂದು ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ಊಟಕ್ಕೂ ಪರದಾಡುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಪಡೆಯನ್ನು ರಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆವು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಇದರ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರೂ ಕೂಡ ಅದರ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡಜನರ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡು ಆಹಾರದ ಕಿಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆವು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಲಾದಷ್ಟು ಸಹಾಯ ಧನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ 400 ರಷ್ಷೂ ಬಡ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಧಾನ್ಯದ ಕಿಟ್ ಅನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಅಳಿಕೆ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಪದ್ಮನಾಭ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಸಣ್ಣ ಗುತ್ತು ಅವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಪಟ್ಟರು.
