Tungabhadra Dam:ಮುರಿದು ಬಿದ್ದ ತುಗಾಭದ್ರಾ ಡ್ಯಾಂನ 19 ನೇ ಗೇಟ್ ಗೆ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಗೇಟ್ ಕೂರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಗೇಟ್ ಕೂರಿಸಲು ತಜ್ಞರ ತಂಡ ಹರಸಾಹಸ ಪಟ್ಟರೂ 3 ಭಾರೀಯೂ ವಿಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹೌದು, ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದ (Tungabhadra Dam) 19ನೇ ಗೇಟ್ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಐದು ದಿನಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನೆ ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಜಲಾಶಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಗೇಟ್ ಅಳವಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಎರಡು ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿ ತಜ್ಞರು ವಿಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ರಿಪೇರಿ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸ್ಟಾಪ್ ಲಾಗ್ ಗೇಟ್ ಕೂರಿಸುವಾಗ ಸಣ್ಣ ಮಟ್ಟದ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸೋದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರಿಗಿಳಿದು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಎರಡು ಬೃಹತ್ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಕ್ರೇನ್ ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ಟಾಪ್ ಲಾಗ್ ಗೇಟ್ ಇಳಿಸಿ, ಇದೇ ಮಾದರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 5 ಎಲಿಮೆಂಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿ, ಕೂರಿಸುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 80ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದ ಎಲಿಮೆಂಟ್ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ 25 ಟಿಎಂಸಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ಜಲಾಶಯದಿಂದ ಹೋಗುವುದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸೋದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೇ ಅದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ ಯತ್ನ ವಿಫಲಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
